It is! Is that the new Voigtlander 50/1.5? How does it perform on film? I’m interested in this lens because it supposedly weighs only 200 grams.

I am very pleased with this new version (i had the LTM version). More ergonomic and the bokeh is quite nice. A good fit for my budget and film needs.

Beautiful!

What is the à la carte customisation?

I was fortunate enough to get a 0.58 MP when a different magnification was available in standard production. It is a very special camera to me.

I bought this camera gently used with only brassing on the film advance lever a few years ago. This camera was made around 2017 which means it would have come with the shark skin leatherette. This customized model is covered in very soft embossed real leather. It's lovely.

I put a Leica M4 in my backpack. After awhile the jostling around caused an RF misalignment. Having not learned my lesson it happened again while in my backpack. Lesson learned.

My MP has spent a lot of time in a backpack on day walks (as it did so again today) and multi-day trail walks and wild camping trips during the past 15 years since I bought it.  The rangefinder alignment is fine.

Yes, I also have mainly used my Ms in a backpack. For example the M240 was carried around the Alps over multiple years, with no probs at all with rangefinder alignment. I’ve kept it well protected though, normally in a Billingham for M bag placed into the backpack. Getting to these mountains in a plane with turbulence, or the vibrations from a car journey, make me feel relatively more concerned about rangefinder alignment than the hiking !
