Nice strong portrait. Love the darkish tonality.

Coffee Break

For some, coffee is a drink.

For others, it is a mask. (Andan posing, her face covered in coffee beans)

Thank you! It was easy, we were standing underneath a building on the boardwalk while a huge rain squall blew in. Instant mood!

You say it was easy. I say bravo for carrying your camera with you and to be aware of the photo opps. Photography is a commitment in my opinion.

This makes me curious about the reason. Is this purely cosmetic or is there a therapeutic benefit?

Country rock musician Pieta Brown. She's the daughter of Greg Brown and is married to Bo Ramsey. Her father, Greg, is married to Iris DeMent. Lots of musical talent in this family.

Hi Brent. Coffee grounds have huge therapeutic qualities it seems. Just read this: « Fight skin problems: The caffeine and chlorogenic acids (CGA) contained in coffee beans can help reduce inflammation due to skin problems such as eczema, acne and psoriasis. Additionally, coffee grounds are promising for fighting skin infection diseases given the antimicrobial properties of their CGA and caffeine.

Interesting. Yes! I use the coffee grounds for the plants in the garden.

Thanks, Carl. I had no idea. I've put my coffee grounds in the compost bin for many years and eventually they end up in the garden but have never known about this other benefit.

Kodak 250D Vision3 film that has been ECN-2 processed.

Taken with a Leica MP and 35mm Summicron. Have added cream tones to the mid-tones and highlights with a slight boost to the blacks. Profoto B1X to camera left with a elinchrom Octabox as the modifier.

Experimented using Kodaks Vision3 250D film with ECN-2 processing. Colour palette fits well within what I like to produce so found a common friend amongst what I usually use (my love of Portra 800).

Shot on a Leica MP + 50mm Summilux. Profoto B1X camera left with a Elinchrom Octabox modifier attached.
