Enjoyed the M7 with Cinestill 800 & MS Optics 35/1.4 this weekend.. scanned on Plustek 8200

Grain not so bad for 800, softness is largely due to the vintage style MS Optics lens

Looks interesting . Thanks for posting. Question: Did you use a filter ? The first image (stairwell/redrope) seems to have some daylight. The second one seems to be artificial light but I doubt it's tungsten.

I tried some Cinestill50 over summer and.. maybe I just had a bad batch, but it seemed more.. scratch/dust prone over 2-3 rolls I shot.

I'll have to try Portra 800 again, think it's banging around my freezer.

Cinestill800 did have some weird effects around point sources of light due to the anti-halation layer difference.

I recently acquired a virtually unused M7 from my uncle. I have run 1-1/2 roll through it and doubt that my uncle ever used it.

I'm used to the R (3+4) and need to get used to handling the M which is a leaning curve :-)

I believe that it's one of the first M7, my uncle traded in 2 M6s for it, please don't ask :-) but I was wondering

about the differences, if any, there has been since it's inception up to now, where I just found out from the above post, that it's no longer manufactured!

Please refer me to a post if this has been dealt with many a time

Thanks

Preben

Preben,

In the M7 page of the International forum Wiki linked on the top of this page you will find commentary on:

- The old vs new DX readers

- The old (M6) vs new (MP) flare-proof Viewfinder.

... which are the two basic differences between the first and current examples of the M7.
