Tytan ,

The film roll is not well mounted in the receiving reel

Henry

Hi Henry, how are you? Thanks for your reply.

When i advance the film, the rewind knob does rotate, but i can also very easily turn the knob in the opposite direction as well with just a soft nudge with a finger ..

Tytan , when you advance the film (at right) , you must see the knob at left turn in the same time.

Is it the case ?

yes, when i advance the film, the knob turns anti-clockwise ... so that tells me the film is advancing fine.

but the rewind knob is constantly in a very loose state.

after advancing the film, after the rewind knob turns anti-clockwise, it can very easily turn clockwise with just a nudge or swipe of a finger .. it is this that i'm asking if it's normal.

thank you.

Yes, this is normal. It partly depends upon the film - some film always seems to want to unwind itself (resulting in a "loose" state rewind knob), some others stay more tightly wound.

...M7 the "fastest" camera YES * (as said Raymond Depardon)  ..

a little windy that day and taken at 70 -100 m

I choose f/8 , I hold the edge of the nacelle with my left hand ,

and with the right hand , I took firmly the camera with the Leica grip ,

I bend my head outside and I shoot .

Vertigo ? :)

Kodak Portra 400-Leica M7-Smmilux 35 Asph

Any correction direct from Nikon Coolscan 5000 in Tiff > Jpeg for post

Color is really faithfully reproduced by Kodak Portra

The lighmeter of M7 is redoubtable

Last wednesday & thursday is was in Wetzlar with some Leica friends. I had my silver chrome M7 changed to a more personal style/taste, photo 1. I love the result of this modification!

The M7 silver chrome & M7 black paint are my primary camera's.

Naturally, I am loving my M7 with the 35mm f/2 Summicron. My efforts are v average and the camera clearly demands we up our game, but it's a v rewarding process. It's just a pleasure to use.

Here's one of my son with his Leica Sofort camera earlier this year - shot on Kodak Portra. You have to keep the next generation in with the Leica name!  ;)
