After a three year break from C-41, I did a roll of Portra 400 today, using Wayne's room temperature technique. Scanned RAW with Nikon 9000, and ColorPerfect (in PhotoLine, not PS) used to invert. All had a bit of extra purple that had to be adjusted with temperature and tint. But it was quite easy, and takes longer. Perhaps the next roll should be done at 102ºF so I can compare the colour casts.

F6, 50/1.4, 22mm-worth of ext. tubes, Portra 400, Argentix presskit.

Just lovely!!!

CL, 40, Foma400

I like this work done in Paris, there's a sweet tonal range to the shots....I note that you were using Foma 400, I've been meaning to pull the trigger on getting some of this film but more often I went with HP5 or Bergger 400 instead, however these images of yours have made me put Foma 400 on there next order list, thanks!

Did you self process? If so which developer did you use?

Yes, I processed myself. Used FX-39 at 20 degree Celsius, 1 part developer 9 parts water, 14 minutes, first 30 seconds constant agitation, then every minute 10 seconds. Not the finest grain around, but nicely pronounced grain.

FX-39 is the Adox developer, right?.....Just ordered a bulk load of Foma 400, ( I bulk-load now because I like 24 exp' lengths and they are hard to find in many emulsions ), I'll add some FX-39 to the order and try the combination out soon I hope.
