But were the f/2.8 and f/4 versions? The latest firmware has codes for all three!

So have the previous versions.

Anyone else notice that there is a coding profile for the Apo-Telyt-M 135 mm lens in the new firmware?

There always used to be an entry for the Apo-Telyt-M 135 mm in the lens menu.

The new thing, however, is this: They assigned a new code point to this lens (53-2), so now it can actually get 6-bit-coded ... that wasn't possible with the previous code point (9-0).

I love the liveview option !!!

This is irony, right? Or have I missed something in the menu. If so, where do I find the live-view option?

BTW, the upgrading went well for me, but when I put the card back into the camera it asked (as it did on the last upgrade) if I wanted to upgrade to version 1.001. I felt brave and answered "yes" and when I checked it was the correct version.

Regards

Åmund

Ahh, okay - thanks for clearing that up. I never bothered to check for a code let alone set one for the 4/135 I picked up a few weeks ago. :p

It seems that issues with SanDisk 8Gb speed level 6 has been solved. M9OS stable now. No more hanging up on play/zoom/pan operation during save operations (DNG UNcompressed).

Too early... Hang up problem with SanDisk 8Gb speed 4 (four, not six as I wrote) card seems less frequent but is always there...

I don't have luck with 21/3.4 so far. It improves a little bit, and is more easy to get it fixed in Lr. Have I done something wrong ?

21/3.4 @f3.4 iso400

Argggg!

I have reserved a M9-P but after seeing this picture, I'll keep my two M8 until a real FF rangefinder breaks into the market. M9 is not a serious camera if you cannot use wide angle lenses on it. Sorry guys.

Come on, Leica!

The current old 21/3.4 is special in that it goes so way back in the camera body that it covers the light meter. I would b surprised if they could fix anything in the firmware for that lens.

 It does as badly on the M8... Come on, this is one of three lenses out of hundreds going back eighty years that has a problem on a camera that is more than half a century its junior. Like complaining you cannot fit carbide lights on your 2011 Mercedes:rolleyes:
