thomboe Posted January 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Could anybody post links or shots with the M9 and the 1,4 21 Summilux at aperture 1.4? I am still struggling between this lens and the WATE in terms of DOF vs. additional ultimate wide options. Thanks a lot in advance! thomboe Posted January 23, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted January 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Jessie, thanks a lot for the samples. Especially the Guggenheim shot is a great evidence for the flexibility the 21 can provide at 1.4. Most likey I will prefer this flexibilty over the addtional ultra wide options of the WATE that tend to have a "flat" look in some cases. Thanks. lars_bergquist Posted January 23, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 23, 2010 Here's one. The focus is on the gentleman in the black tee. The lens was a loaner. It is a very good lens indeed, and you can see that at distances like these, it provides good separation between focus/out of focus. AGeoJO Posted January 27, 2010 Share #19 Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) Except for minor vignetting issues, which are, to a certain degree, acceptable in this fast ultra wide angle lens, are there any other corner issues? Red or cyan issues in the corners or at the edge of images taken at wide open to, let's say, f/2.8 or so on M9? Thanks, Joshua Edited January 27, 2010 by AGeoJO
innerimager Posted January 29, 2010 Share #20 Posted January 29, 2010 My 21 summilux arrived yesterday and I am absolutely loving it! Here's a crop demonstrating focusing at closest distance (0.7M) at 1.4. Sharpness is impressive and the bokeh is quite pleasing to my eye. best....Peter
