Hi Guys, I've been using my M6 TTL without an issue for sometime and then I left it dormant for around a year when I left the country... Now the meter wont work , the M6 would work fine and still take pictures if exposed correctly with an external light meter, but the mechanism now would not turn on. I'm based in NYC and have sent it to the Leica repair and they sent it back saying that they can't fix it because they "no longer have the parts", I contact Sherry Krauter and she said that she gets her parts from Leica, so if they don't have it, she won't either. So really now I'm just asking for help! Thanks! H

This is from my archives for the year 2000. I was on a trip to the US to lecture to a couple of photographic colleges and stopped off at a re-enactment village in Bethpage, Long Island where I photographed just 2 frames of this guy by natural light. The great fun of American re-enactment sites is that they are very serious, and he claimed that he had heard about photography but didn't realise cameras had become so small. I photographed by natural window light using a Leica M6 and 50mm Summicron f2 (I think!). The film was Kodak T400CN (C41 process) which I had taken so I could get it processed as I went and minimise the chances of fogging in airport x-ray machines. I have just rediscovered this after 17+ years, so I hope you like it. Gerry

Moin zusammen !

This is from my trip to the US in 2001 and was taken on the Ellis Island Ferry using the Leica M6 and TX400CN. I thought long and hard about posting this image, and finally came to the conclusion that less able-bodied people are a part of our society and hopefully this image shows a caring relationship and inclusion in the world. I took this on the Isles of Shoals back in 1997 using my Leica M6 and Fuji Velvia (sorry, no lens details but I suspect the 50mm Summicron f2) whilst on a photographic retreat with the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists, and I have just scanned it for the first time.

This beach belonged to a lighthouse where we stayed overnight. So it was a priviledged private place. I took my breakfast there on that lovely morning. I left my heavy bulk in the room and had only my X1. I am still very happy with the results of this little camera. panorama being stitched from 4 vertical pictures

San Francisco, Lombard Street, 2015 This famous steep, curvy street in Sans Francisco is an attraction four tourists and tourist cars. At that time of the night there was still a line of cars driving down the slope in between beds of hortensias. Olmypus EM 5 with Summilux 15 mm
