Advertisement Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Hi Pintpot, Take a look here Why not an "I love my M7" thread?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Benqui Posted August 5, 2012 Share #162 Posted August 5, 2012 Oh my god!! I was one of the happiest photographers with my 8.2 and was smiling at the people who opened threads like "I wanna buy another camera.....""Which camera should I buy?"..... One camera is enough, who needs more, especially who needs an analog camera which I used 20 years ago. But unfortunately a friend of mine gave me his M7 for the weekend to test. And shame on me I really liked it. It was fun to take photos like years ago. Did I make better photos with the M7? No. Is it easier with an analog camera in comparison to a digital camera? No.Not at all. I have to wait much longer until I can see the results. But is has its own magic which you feel when you take the photos. As a result of course I will keep my M8.2 and will look for an analog M. The object of desire will be a M6 or a MP. But I will not open another thread "which one should I buy! best regards Marc Welcome, dear visitor! Ruhayat Posted September 28, 2012 Share #164 Posted September 28, 2012 Spicy combo. Latest pic of my pimped out M7. Here with the 50mm f1.5 Summarit which I just got. It has a grip (from Fotodiox), 1.25x magnifier (generic brand) and soft shutter release (generic brand). I use this camera exclusively with fast and heavy lenses now, hence the additions. The grip makes it very stable and comfortable to hold with heavy lenses, while the 1.25x magnifier makes focusing even at f1.2 more of a doddle. The soft shutter release is handy, too, as without it I sometimes tend to click the shutter when what I wanted to do was just meter the scene. jagwar.jim Posted October 10, 2012 Share #166 Posted October 10, 2012 I totally love my M7! I'll have to upload a photo of it later because currently it has no lens! I had a problem with the very front part of the lens where the hood attaches - it became loose. It's currently at Leica Japan getting fixed. Not looking forward to that bill... GeebeeWien Posted October 16, 2012 Share #169 Posted October 16, 2012 just received my M7 today. It is my 3rd Leica M (after an M8 and an M6), but my first silver chrome, and I absolutely love it. It just feels right in my hands. Not bad for a bargain item at the dealer of my confidence. Welcome, dear visitor! DBAUDUI1 Posted November 7, 2012 Share #171 Posted November 7, 2012 To me the M7 is the best film Leica ever. It is the most precise and silent camera I have ever had. I am using the 0.58 M7, whith is very good for people with spectacles and for wide angle pictures. The telemetre and the light metering system is spot on. I love also the way it memorises a light measure that is then applied with another framing. I also love the indicator of speed in the viewfinder, that adapts to the ambiant light, and alwaus tells you where you are. Best regards Dominique

philipus Posted November 7, 2012 Share #174 Posted November 7, 2012 Is the standard black M7 black chrome or black paint? Black chrome. Here's a link to the tech specs. You can add black paint in the à la carte configurator for USD 100.
kokoshawnuff Posted November 8, 2012 Share #175 Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Black chrome is standard. But have they done a special edition? Or is that just with the few M6 models Edited November 8, 2012 by kokoshawnuff
