lanetomlane Posted November 18, 2009 Share #83 Posted November 18, 2009 We are still hoping to make the meeting. However, First Capital Connect have been having a shortage of drivers at the weekends, and in fact last weekend, no trains whatsoever ran on the Peterborough to Kings Cross line. If that's the case again this coming weekend we may not be able to get there. Looking forward to hopefully meeting everyone on Saturday and if we cannot make it, hope everyone else has a great time. ____________________________ Kind regards to all, Tom Photography by Tom Lane
farnz Posted November 18, 2009 Share #84 Posted November 18, 2009 (edited) Tom, Sorry to hear that you're affected by the Worst Capital Connect debacle but hope you manage to make it on Saturday. Pete. Edited November 18, 2009 by farnz
johnbanting Posted November 18, 2009 Share #85 Posted November 18, 2009 I am planning to go to see the Jane Bown exhibition at Kings Place Gallery on Saturday (the last date for this exhibition). It does not open until 12:00, so I am hoping to call into the Photographer's Gallery on my way there to see if Bill has found a resolution to his brass banding problem with his minty M11. MartinEB Posted November 18, 2009 Share #87 Posted November 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'd very much like to join you also. I also am on the First Capital Connect line, but if there is a problem I can drive to a tube (assuming that I can find one that is running!). Hope to see you there. earleygallery Posted November 20, 2009 Share #90 Posted November 20, 2009 I didn't really think this one through......I'm still planning to attend in the morning but may leave after a couple of hours. Not been to the new Photographers Gallery yet so interested in seeing that too.
biglouis Posted November 20, 2009 Author Share #91 Posted November 20, 2009 Still planning to come. Bit worried if 19 blokes can make a decision about what to do if it is p*ss*ng down and no one fancies a 20 minute walk to the Chandos... of course there is always the tube and the opportunities that George has shown us recently to take some inspiring pictures on the way. gravastar Posted November 20, 2009 Share #92 Posted November 20, 2009 Hmmm.... I could have a First Capital Connect problem as well since I'm travelling on the Peterborough-Kings Cross line. Latest Service Bulletin says optimistically "There are currently no reported incidents affecting this journey." We shall see. Bob.

roydonian Posted November 21, 2009 Share #95 Posted November 21, 2009 Someone threw themselves in front of a train this morning, bringing my local rail service to a halt. So I won't be able to make it. I hope you all have a good day. Best regards, Doug

MPerson Posted November 21, 2009 Share #100 Posted November 21, 2009 Quite a turnout and thanks to the weather Gods. Great to meet everyone and apologies for leaving early but I have to be in Bedford tonight. Hope the long distance members all make it home OK and your trains are running. Maybe we ought to have a prize for the longest distance travelled. I'll gladly donate a roll of Kodachrome 64.
