Alexander,

please excuse me; I can't understand if you are joking or you are saying it seriously.

Fernando.

The thing with the "R5-girl" was a joke, of course! See the Smiley...;)

But one little thing I sayed before isn't a joke: I'm a real "SLRie", I won't have, I won't use and I won't like any RF-camera a' la Leica M or something for sure..... Okay, I guess now you know that I'm not a "real" Leica-photographer anymore!

Have a good time, Alexander

Hello Martin,

I call it a really good idea to start this thread. It`s a pleasure to share photos of our Leica-stuff with Leiconians all around the world. Martin, thanks for your idea.

Yes, I understood about the R-5 girl. What I pointed in my sentence is your interest in R cameras and R users. So, about the same is for me: I'd like M gear if I were able to compose an image with a RF camera. Unfortunately my eyes absolutely need a TTL vision.

Fernando.

Here is another Leica R family group! My first love was, & always will be, Leica Reflex Cameras and optics. I've had others but none come close. Its true that I also now use the lenses on a 'well known full frame digital body' and this to me confirms the continued status of the marque. Glad to see that I am not alone in my enthusiasm for Leica R!

This is my last R-item. I bought it on last saturday, it was a surprise to me the Photar 80/4,5, I only read about the 12,5 the 25 and the 50mm.

Those old Leicaflexes are HUGE.

Could have been worst:

Nikon D3x: 160 x 157 x 88 mm

Canon 1DS3: 150 x 160 x 80 mm

Canon 5D: 152 x 113 x 75 mm

Olympus E3: 142 x 116 x 75 mm

Leica R9: 158 x 101 x 62 mm

Leicaflex SL: 148 x 97 x 57 mm

Leica R4: 139 x 88 x 60 mm

Don't get me wrong, they actually look quite nice. And I hear the viewfinders on the old SL and SL2s are phenomenal.

I actually prefers a bigger SLR, because I have big hands, with long fingers. A rangefinder is fine, because of the narrow lens mount, but a small SLR like the R6 (which is about the same size as a M6), doesn't fit my hands so well, because of the wider lens mount.

Anyway, I never saw any pics of the SL or SL2 in relation to other cameras. They're almost as big as a R8/9.
