It is possible that Leica simply hasn't debugged the EVF-M yet and doesn't want the situation with the M11 to repeat itself, which only started working 2.5 years after its release. Yes of course it’s the importers responsibility to apply the tariff - it’s charged at the point of entry. The point I was trying to make, which breached forum rules (apologies to@jaapv) was that tariff increases have NOTHING to do with Leica. Leica has recently announced a general price increase, but that is quite separate to tariffs. The importer must apply the tariff, that’s a legal requirement, but the importer does have a choice: take some of the tariff out of their margin (and make less money) or pass the cost on (sales may suffer and stock financing costs increase).
