CDN problems

  • My internet provider is blocking the access for some regions: Texas, New York, Hongkong
  • I'm working with the support to fix this.

This issue should be fixed now.

Can our members from Texas, New York, Hongkong check, if they still have problems accessing the forum?

Texas is a colony of Missouri. 🙂  All good in Missouri.

I'm posting this here in case it is related to the same issues @LUF Admin has reported.

For the last few days I have been trying without success to edit the Topics in my custom activity stream 'New Content'. I wanted to add the subforum 'L-mount lenses'. Under Topics, I selected the 'L-mount lenses' subforum, and clicked 'Apply changes', and then in the Activity Stream bar, clicked 'Save changes'. The activity stream correctly showed the new subform posts, until the next time I come to the forum, or open a new tab for the forum, when it is again not selected.

Am I missing a step for saving the settings, or is this part of the ongoing problems?

At the very present I can upload images, but they are corrupt (show as a broken icon) if inserted into a post and won't view in the uploaded image 'box' prior to insertion.

Update: this might be a browser issue as I can't see the image in Safari but can in Chrome!

Paul,

I suspect you need to clear your cookies and cache on Safari. That cured my problems. Clearing cookies is a pain as it also clears used cookies as well as undesirables. This usually means having to sign into used websites again. Cache clearing is best done via the develop pull down menu, which is an optional feature on Safari, accessible via preferences.

Same symptoms in Firefox on Windows.

...and now Chrome.

Edit: I got image upload to work with a German VPN. The VPN was needed to view the embedded image afterwards, too - switching back to the UK, the image went blank.

My activity stream is constantly showing as empty (which it isn't) despite clearing cookies and logging back in.  This has been happening for 4 hours so far.

Yesterday evening pictures uploaded by others were corrupted and just showing a dead link.  Logging out and back in cleared that this morning.

Pete.

Wilson,

Just so you're aware, Firefox allows users to clear cookies etc on a specific website as desired and leaves the rest untouched.

Pete.

It was Safari I was talking about, which deals with cookies on a somewhat obscured basis.
