Are others finding that the forum is being very slow and often totally unresponsive today. Quoting a previous post also does not seem to be working.

I agree. To mee it seems that answers that I write take a very long time to upload. But this is not only the case today.

Yes, I can confirm. Since some days it is very slow, especially the upload process.

Dingle in Kerry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingle or another one?  If the former, how is the broadband there? It is one of the most westerly towns in Europe.

Yes, Dingle in Kerry. Our Airbnb (attached to a pub in the centre) has excellent broadband for normal use (we do not stream videos). There are plenty of adverts here for superfast broadband, though I don't know whether that means 'it is coming' or 'it is here'. In Kenmare, where we spent the first half of our holiday, it was often poor, but I suspect the wifi router for our Airbnb was weak or too distant - the upstream broadband could have been fine.

Enjoy your time in Kerry. The weather in Dublin is lovely today. We are still basking in the light of our exhibition launch on Thursday night. You may see some mention of it in The Irish Times. I hope the link works.

If not, this link to an Observer piece by Sean O'Hagan last Sunday should work for UK readers

If you do travel to Dublin (a) let me know and (b) visit our exhibition.

I'm sorry, but it will have to be another time, William. It would have been good to meet up and see the exhibition!

We are travelling home tomorrow but taking the afternoon ferry from Dublin, then staying the night on Anglesey. We came over via Fishguard-Rosslare, stopping the night with Dublin friends at their cottage in Ardmore. From Dingle the Dublin-Holyhead route makes more sense
