I am not certain about that, but did the camera remember the AF patch size before when you switched it off? With this FW it forgets and resets.

In the overview menu under your profiles all 6 profiles show up including the ones that are not used . . .

For whoever minds this new bug: Go into the menu page 4 under "user profile">"manage profiles" and delete the ones that you do not need. Like this in the overview menu you just see the used profiles as before. I call it then half a bug.

I carried out the update without any issues at all, in fact, it was quick and easy.  However!  The startup time on my Q3 hasn't changed it's still slow and ponderous, which I've gotten used too, but the biggest issue I have is that Leica have either chosen to ignore or just not bothered with what I and quite a few others really dislike about this camera and that is....touch screen / video.  Over Christmas I wanted to take candid photos of family and friends so I walked around with my camera turned on ready.  When I did eventually put it to my eye, low and behold, it was videoing so I missed the picture completely but I did get a fine video of my feet!!!  This occurs, regularly and painfully, in no small part to the touch screen which if swiped accidently, as in my case, by my clothing, it starts the video, or moves the focus point to the edge of the screen or completely change the settings, I use the user profiles set for preference which do get changed back to the factory setting.  In addition if you switch off the camera then switch it back on, when you have a shot, it has reverted back to the Factory settings and not the previous used.  I had a Fujifilm X70 which also had a touch screen but,  even though it was merely 10% of the cost of a Q3, the option was available to turn off the "touch" facility so the screen could be used without.  Surely it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the Leica software team could add some code to make Video and the touch facility options, either on or off, is it?  No doubt these comments will never make their way to Leica HQ but will find the nearest rubbish bin but I had to try,

I just updated to 2.0.1 via the Fotos app, it took about 5 minutes all in.

Turning the Q3 on now is super-quick...it's ready to shoot in about half a second! I'll have a play with everything else and see what else has changed for me.

I could be wrong but on the main Amun screen, I believe that I used to see my selected custom profile number. I don’t see it anymore so I don’t know which profile I’m using.

Yes I did save and import my profiles. They are in the camera but the profile icon on the main menu doesn’t show which one is in use. I believe it used to show.

Did you select the respective profile in the overview menu? And then you say that the number does not show up?

And go to select the profile 1 now . . . If there is no change then there is another bug in some Q3 cameras. Certainly not in all as in mine that part works fine after the update.

I deleted all custom profiles and rebuilt them. They are now showing their respective number. I might have accidentally changed something in my previous profiles… but in all four profiles? Hmmm. Life is good again.

Getting the same thing...doesn't retain the selected profile.  Every time I turn the camera off, the "default" becomes the profile in use.

As someone who never (intentionally) uses video, I also have a similar problem and frequently wish that there were a "Photo Only" switch somewhere. 😀

I downloaded from the site to desktop to memory card to camera. Saved profiles. Then reinstalled them.
Mine is keeping the profile set. I checked to see the profile set. Switched the camera off. Restarted. And the same profile comes back up.

New Firmware Installed.  Allowed camera to sit unused for 13 hours, battery not changed.  Startup time:  4 seconds, no change from the past.  Only situations when startup time is virtually instantaneous is when it has been off for a very short time then turned back on.  Or when a freshly charged battery is reinserted.  I doubt my Q3 is the only one that behaves in this manner.  However, as I have stated since I got the Q3 last July, I can live with it.  When I know I am going to use it, I just turn it on then off before I depart.

After 12 hours, mine takes about 2-3 seconds to start. After that, it is instant.

And why not displaying an image that gets better after 2 seconds first a draft then a high resolution. At least I could see what I am doing. 

In 2fps mode, there is no blackout, but the image freezes for a short while. I like the blackout as a feedback that the image was taken. I would not complain if it were shorter, though. Fully lag/blackout-free EVF is not possible as long as a single stream of data comes from the sensor.

My install kept the profile set as well.  When you select a profile, is it retained when you move about the menu?  Or, do you have to reselected that profile each time you power on the camera?

It does not seem to revert to default with a short switch off but does revert after a few hours. This is irrespective of whether the profile was selected from the touch screen or via a menu command. I cannot believe this slipped past quality control and also I assume some beta testing. I have not been a firmware beta tester for Leica for some years but I rather doubt I would have failed to notice this bug. Does Leica even still use forum members as firmware beta testers like they use Jono Slack as a hardware beta tester?
