Hey guys!

So I'm going to attempt to use an orange filter for the first time and have some questions.

Using a M2 w/ a voigtlander 1.5 35mm. I use a Keks light meter / sunny 16 occasionally. Was planning on shooting Kiki pan 320 or HP5, probably both.

How should I meter my images? Should I do +2 stops? Should I just shoot it at box speed / normal metering?

Also, to add, I'm going to mostly be shooting outdoor, direct sunlight on the beach. Blue skies / lots of light.

Also have a yellow filter, not sure if im going to use it yet, but same Q's for that one.

Thanks for the help!

Compensation is something to learn to use.

Rule of thumb is metering through the filter then bracket from that (what I do when bracketting  is possible).

"Right exposure" depend on many variables like the main/oppposite colors, the b&w film in use color respondings, etc.

Sadly, there is no magic formula for this.
