maidenfan84 Posted November 14, 2022 Share #1 Posted November 14, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was given a visoflex for my TL2 and I’ve noticed that it sticks out a little bit with the eyepiece compared to being completely flush with the rest of the camera body. Is the visoflex safe to keep on the camera all the time and carry against your body, store in the camera bag, etc since it sticks out slightly? I just ask because the last thing I’d want is it damaging the hotshoe or breaking off. Thanks in advance

RexGig0 Posted November 14, 2022 Share #4 Posted November 14, 2022 I have found that clumsy and inconsiderate people can be quite rough with my bags, so, I would not leave a Visoflex/EVF, OVF, or flash in the flash shoe, while the camera is in the bag. I am including family members among these “people.” One is notorious for stacking/piling things on top of others’ bags. Then, there is my own occasional clumsiness. The best place for an EVF/Visoflex is inside its own protective cover or case, in my opinion.

If your bag is padded and somewhat structured, there’s no reason it’s not safe.
