Nice.  I was wondering when you'd get your hands on one!

Yes it does feel strangely smaller than the T series.

I think I figured out why the CL feels smaller than the T series when I hold it.

When I hold the TL, the part I grab is the thickest - the bloated battery compartment that double up as a hand-grip.

When I hold the CL, the entire body is slim throughout.

Anyway, it is almost countdown time - 11 days to Christmas.

My CL + MS OPTICS APOQUALIA 35 / 1.4

Positive:Very compact and light.

Negative: Soft wide open, although still acceptable (see Photo of building across road @ A=1.4 T=1/25,000s)

Small... semi-slippy... This is why I'm going for the hand-grip and the outrageously expensive finger loop.

(The Thumbs-up didgery-do might be a cheaper solution.)

I've ordered a case from Luigi.  It will have a small bump on the side where the right hand grips it.  He's just started making them and thinks it should get to me at about the time I'm allowed to used the damn thing :-|

To those of you using the CL with M mount lenses can you tell me if the brightness of the image in the viewfinder decreases as you stop the lens down to the taking aperture or is the electronics clever enough to keep it at the same brightness as it would be with the lens wide open?

Same as the SL ...... constant till max ISO set is reached...... or.....

With the right setting on PASM when fully manual you can also see in real time the 'real' exposure with M lenses (or I assume it does as the setting choices are the same as the SL).

On the SL you can compose and focus easily at f11 with a 10 stop filter .......   (and with +3 EV compensation even at f18 or so ......)

At the Christmas Market this evening. Impressed by the wide exposure latitude and how malleable the files are.

Hello again,

this is the last picture I am posting in this image thread. It's the 7th picture I have taken with the CL and 18mm kit lens. I call it "the pickpocket". It is a hip shot on my way home crossing the xmas market in my hometown.

I really regret that had to let go this masterpiece. But as mentioned earlier, for me it doesn't make sense to me keeping the camera as long as I have not enough time to use it... hopefully in the future I will have the opportunity to by a used one for a reasonable price...?

A brief conclusion: I can highly recommend this camera to all those who want to use this camera with the advantages of a point and shot camera and the best glas/ prime lenses that exists, Leica. For me it is not a question of sensor size nor of fast lenses. The camera is small, lightweight easy to handle, reduced to the max and consequently follows the big M, concept. The digital viewfinder for me is fairly a great compromise and a joy compared to the Fuji X series.

Shooting from the hip.

The conversion to B/W was done in PS CC that is not my cup of tea. Unfortunately, it seems that Silver Efex Pro to which I have been used for years is not working with PS CC! I hope PS would correct this issue. For many of us who are used to Silver Efex, this is a real annoyement!
