It's amazing how much effort they put into the costumes. The difference to german Fassnacht/Karneval is, that in Basel everone wears a mask.

It was quite an experience, and I come from a city which does not do Carnvial, Mardi Gras, Shrovetide, Fasnacht or anything this style. Fasnacht over here means you turn up at work, like every other day.

Kudos to Ravi for the excellent organization, local insight and choice of restaurant.

The pizza experience was indeed excellent and is distinctively different from pizza, which had overstayed the cardboard box.

Freshly made pizza is quite special. I think it is actually unsuitable as delivery food.

Unfortunately I could make it only for Monday evening. But this was a most wonderful experience in the Indian restaurant. A very nice evening with nice colleagues.

Thanks a lot to Ravi. You are an excellent host.

As I understand it's not the first time you organise trips for Leica fans. I'll join again.

The fun part is the confetti. In the evening you find that stuff everywhere in and under your clothes. If you are the target of a confetti attack you will get sweets from the kids as compensation. (Pana S5II + Pana 50 / 1.8)
