I wonder how the Geotagging works. I did not update to 4.0 but withe the actual firmware I do not manage to put GPS Tag into the Exif. Cannsomeone explain?

And I see no way how I could uodate via Fotos . . .

Nothing works actually: The EVF is black and on the screen I am asked to stopp Wi-Fi. You see that I never used fitos and I wonder why I should. I would like to use gos tagging but there is now way that it works with 3.1.1. I am no playing around the last hour or so. I might habe uodated the amera with the app. But no way to find this either. That seems to be too much of a mess. I have enough now.  othing works. I am not willing to make a 3cday course.

Just installed it.

Looks very good.

Not all the features I thought would come.

But as far as I can tell one thing is for sure. The connection to Leica Fotos worked 3 out of 5 times and

it went as fast as 45s,47s,50s seconds. Which is ok. I can live with this speed.

I will See how the app behaves while shooting ....

As I look a little closer at that video format grid from the release notes, I realize that they probably just copied the table from an SL2(s) spreadsheet; the Q2 obviously does not have an HDMI output, nor does it have an APS-C (~super 35mm) crop mode for video, which is actually too bad. I'm going to submit a feature request via Fotos app for L-log and APS-C crop. You never know!

The big question is, does it actually have 25p now??

Looks like it does! I see it as an option in all of the FHD/UHD/C4K categories, both .mp4 and .mov

I just shot some C4K All-I test footage and it looks pretty good. Perhaps later I will shoot some side by side with the SL2-S.

My Sony and Ricoh have highlight metering and use it a lot. All cameras should have this!

Agreed. Especially useful for Monochrom cameras where there is nothing to recover in overexposed highlights.

Updated firmware (by download) without problems. Exported my user profiles beforehand, and reimported them afterwards.

Same here . No problems with the settings ….

That’s great news. Perhaps this feature will trickle down to the CL (as I have been requesting for years 😁).

Did someone update by using the fotos app?

I tried but could not figure out how... perhaps they added the ability for future firmware updates to happen via Fotos? Or maybe it requires you to sign in with a Leica account?
