Was looking around for a one-lens setup bag – perfectly happy with this leather pouch.

Like the silver M11 mated to the f1 Noctilux, the weight is noticeable. Similarly, after holding this hand made work of art and seeing the quality of the materials used in fabrication, it magically seemed to feel lighter!

The verdict is still out for me as I don't know whether to hang it on the wall in my living room or use it as intended.  Glad to know old world type craftsmanship still exists - for a hefty price of course.

Here's a link with more information. https://www.leica-camera.blog/2014/12/15/simone-schedoni-leica-meets-schedoni-to-create-unique-items/

Any bag, shoulder bag or rucksack that can fit a padded insert.  Fancy bags seem to attract the wrong attention, so any old bag will do me.

as I’ve said in a previous post, I use these, but you can’t buy them anymore …

I’ve even wrapped my cameras/lenses in an old beanie hat.

Wotancraft has invented a new camera satchel that looks like a good option:  https://www.wotancraft.tw/en/product/new-scout-brown-leather-green-canvas

Looks like a well designed bag. The gear is at least protected for rain, contrary to many other brands.

I have the Peak Design 3L and 6L and am going to put them on eBay sometime soon. It’s fine, I found the Wandrd series is much more functional for me. There are plenty of pockets. Excellent series. The 9L Wandrd is large, but comfortable to wear all day long. It has room for my M11, my Q2Mono, a couple of M lenses plus a host of other stuff including my iPad Mini which I can use for quick looks at my photos. I got caught in a rainstorm and everything stayed perfectly dry inside.

Has anyone collected any good SMALL inserts? Most of the ones I've seen look really big and much too large for a simple sling-style bag. Basically I just want an insert I can drop in to other bags that has room for a very small M11 kit-- body, few lenses, maybe a Platypod tripod and small ballhead, some filters, etc.

I have the tenba BYOB 9, which is the perfect size for one body, a couple of lenses and accessories.

BTW I just saw the Oberwerth Messenger bag in black and it's a thing of beauty.  Suede-ish.

It is actually in use pretty good. I can get an M11 +35mm/21mm/135 in and there is then space for sundries (batteries/cloth/filters). Love feel to the leather and after a week or so of use the zips ain't so stiff as when first used. I can also get in there a Pixii with 3 Voigtlander lenses and have some room left for an umbrella too.

My go to bag for M11 will be an old Think Tank Retrospective 5.

I would normally carry two lenses - 35mm and 75mm for a casual "walk about".

This bag easily houses the M11 including the handgrip with 75mm attached and the unmounted 35mm lens (or vice-versa).

There are dividers which offers various configurations that may suit one's personal need as dictated by the number lenses used. As for me, I used only one single divider.

It came with a rain cover in case you need it, but I believe the bag itself will adequately protect the camera/lens in case one is caught in a light shower.

Very compact, light and unobtrusive. It was only yesterday that I used it with the abovementioned two-lens combo.

Most of the time, I did not hang the camera using the neck-strap but kept in the bag with the top cover opened for easy access.

I have the PD 3L but find it too small for general use. So I use it only whenever I want to shoot street photography with the M2 and 35mm lens attached.

For this combo, I would hang the camera using the neck strap and sling the bag across the body so that it will not get in the away.

Billingam hadley digital..

I picked up the hadley digital on your advice and it is a solid bag - especially keeping the visoflex attached.   More protective than other small stuff and I just like using it more.  I use the 3L Peak as well, but it is smaller and far different uses.  I'll probably use the hadley more even walking in NYC though.

I am still trying to reach the ingcognito level while walking all day in cities.  I am beginning to think that solution is a strap and arte de mano leather camera case hidden under my jacket.  Still searching.  Harry Benz is next to try for an all day carry walk out and about.

Hey Harry, create an all buffalo M11 shell?  I'd be the first in line.

You don’t need a fancy strap or case, especially if you’re going to hide the camera by your side or under a jacket. Even then, user behavior has more to do with remaining discreet IMO than the gear.  I haven’t used a case or bag (or Viso/EVF) in urban settings since the 80’s; any interactions have been caused by me.
