I still have Lightroom 6.14. Will LR be able to read the M11 files as the output is DNG or is DNG not equal to DNG?

it will read them as dng and use Leica's embedded profile, i posted the official adobe file on a separate thread on the m11 subforum already if you want to try it

A pic with lots of textures and detail for those who wants to see how the camera handles details. No clarity/texture or dehazed used, only sharpening to taste.

You have to click twice I think to see the full resolution and be aware there is information lost because of the jpeg compression.

I respect your opinion, but look at some of the other pictures posted in this thread and you will get your answer, not from pictures from the first day that someone had the camera in flat or dark conditions. TBH I think you should look at the images of the people that had the camera for longer, ie. the reviewers that you trust.

For me flatness etc, does not mean anything for a camera, as it is all about post processing and I can tell you that the files are great and the colors are great even in high iso. That is what I care about.

if you want check my other pics in this thread, I would love to hear any comments on flatness etc, it will help me improve.

Sorry. I was going to post something much longer but was called aside. My post was accidental.

Ok, weather broke and I managed to get an hour or so out and about with the camera. Starting to process a couple of files. My initial impression is that the DR/metering is noticeably improved over the 10-R. I intentionally went on the hunt for a few difficult high contrast scenes, not so much for the intrinsic value, but to get a feel for any new found flexibility. My impression is that the files from the M11 have noticeably more latitude.  Here's a first example.

SooC (DNG) WATE 16mm 1/320" F5.6  Only processing is a slight bit of straightening.

I continue to be impressed by the way the colors emerge very naturally out of shadow.

Low contrast B&W version to show the shadow details.  Note the struts and rivets emerge.

I don't know what to say...

It wasn't there on my windows pc when I checked a couple of weeks ago, then last Thursday my macbook arrived - at some point on thursday I downloaded C1 for mac (and many other apps, it's my first mac so lots of copying and app discovery etc), then the next day when I went to play with DPRs M11 files I noticed C1 supported them!

It's listed in their release notes...

https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/4416405284497-Capture-One-22-15-0-1-release-notes-

actually maybe it's mac only?

Very very stange. I use mac only. I have indeed tried to update my C1 22, but still no profil for it. I will contact C1 support for sure. Thanks for heads up.

if you can tell me where mac keeps C1 profile files in it's (largely incomprehensible after 25+ years on windows) file system then I can send it you, you've obviously paid for the SW, so I don't see an issue... (mods if not, delete yada yada, only trying to be a good samaritan here)

I had no notification on my Mac C1 Pro 22 version, it still showed that built 15.0.0 was the current version. But when I went on the website, I found the 15.0.1.  which gives you the new profiles for the M11: https://www.captureone.com/en/account/download-trial?intent=trial-pro

Thanks you very much for that, thats very kind of you.  I actually downloaded the version 15.1 (as the one that was installed, for some reason auto update haven't worked😩) and now I have the profile.

Sun shining through the window she moved a few feet difference is the natural light and surrounding reflections, obstacles on the deck outside casting shadow ????

But was it in auto mode? I always had the impression that when it comes to that difficult light situations - cold light from the outside and warm light from the inside the auto WB is doing whatever they like and not what they should.

But one can set the wb before the shot or work on the files afterwards.

There was always a lot of work to do with my M240.
