Ther is nothing flat and digital looking from what is coming out of the M11, do not judge by what you see on posts in the forum. The colour depth I am getting is amazing.

I disagree .. I see many dng samples across the web, very different look from previous Leica , remind me of my Sony

My M11 images are nothing like my Sony A1 images.

This is like complaining that the manufacturer of your cup is making your coffee taste bad.

If a camera maker is doing things right, all images from all manufacturers should look about the same. Certainly if you couldn’t make an image from your Sony look like one taken with your Leica, that’s on you.

Learn how to tweak your images to your taste and you’ll never need to rely on adobe / Leica to make your images for you.

you sound offended? I don't know why ? I like Sony, I'm happy leica now look like Sony, if you don't like it .. why not make sony look like leica as you suggest?  👍

Any suggestions on which software to use to mimic the SOOC color?

The M11 SOOC images are pretty pop and fascinating. However, I am having a hard time achieving the similar result with DNG files by C22 or LR. Currently there was no color style from both softwares can be used to mimic the SOOC color.

What is SOOC color? Isn’t that the color straight out of camera that you see in C22 or LR? Do you mean the same color as JPGs?

P.S.: Maybe move your question out of the thread where images are shared?

Guys is it me or is there a lack of micro contrast in all the images we are seeing so far from the M11 we got Snap , we got Crackle but no POP

I am a bit concerned. I am going out shooting today with my m11 let’s see

I agree and was about to say the same.  I'm not (yet) overly impressed.  A couple of very nice shots where the softer look suited the images, but many others where it doesn't.  This may in part be down to generic or default processing and is somewhat "fixable", but the micro-contrast and sharpness so far seems to be lacking.

I'd like to see (and am waiting for) a more "scientific" comparison with the M10-R and M10.  I know there are several very generous users that have posted test images in their controlled home environment before.  One in particular I remember (because I found it on my computer) made a colour image from three filtered M10M shots, which coincidentally looked outstanding.  No idea if these users are interested in the M11 though.  They're probably as much on the fence or are in no particular rush like most of us.  We'll eventually get the DxO testing as well, but I'm not overly interested in those metrics.

I'm interested too in how the in-camera DNG downscaling compares with doing so after the fact from the 60 Mpix image.  Probably not much in it but is there any potential quality difference between using 36 Mpix DNGs or the 60 Mpix if you don't intend to ever use greater than 36?  It's something any current M11 user could look at quite easily.

No

The jpg and dng showed total different color. The jog is processed by the in body processor.

One of the first tries with the wide open Noctilux on the M11.

Yours and Elmar’s picture above pop off the iPad screen (your cat and his wife are looking at breakfast right now). It seems to me there is a lot of user error by those who are posting flat looking images. Either that or they don’t have fast lenses.

...and the .DNG needs to be processed by the photographer later, using a different processor (whatever is in your computer)..

I am a bit worried too: "Crackle but no POP". Details but a lot of noise. A picture without body. Loss of micro details / acuity but great colours. In general, because once in a while there is a great shot. As it is commonplace to not embed camera/lens/shot details, I am lost.

However RedDotForum ("And, if you're still hungry for more pixel peeping, here's a full size 60MP export you can download. ") made great shots.

I would like to know, did RDF use tripods all the time (no  . .); did they use a night-light filter in de evening shots or is the cover-glass so good that the most severe environments give great pictures as long as you have factory-fresh lenses; or special high-contrast range lenses at least?🤔?

I'm sure Steven would have helped me out here. . . 🤐

Yes, let’s collect signatures to reinstate him so we get a good explanation for flat looking M11 pictures. I’d also like to know how a BSI sensor contributes to less camera shake as he posted. 😂

It reminds me of my a7r4. Very sharp but  flat and digital looking.... a good camera for commercial and corporate photography I find. Is the sensor made by Sony?

Does it look flat? Iso 2000 by the way
