gverdon Posted September 5, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 5, 2007 A wonderful tale, full of motion and surprises. Like a fresh draught in the brain... Like it a lot. Gérald
flavio Posted September 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 5, 2007 Kurt, Very nice, great colours and perspective. Which camera/lens do you use? May I say it is around 60/63° north latitude? Landscape is resembling to me the one I saw in Norway, around that lat. :-)
stuny Posted September 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2007 Kurt - Fabulous, surreal composition with terrific colors, light, details and depth. Flavio - Much of the US Upper Midwest was settled by Scandinavians used to the latitude and climate. This includes much of Kurt's state of Wisconsin. kidigital Posted September 6, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted September 6, 2007 Thanks for stopping by, Pete. Thanks for the comment, Gérald. Wow, Flavio, I'm impressed. You nailed it. It was indeed taken in Norway earlier this summer with my M8 and 21/2.8. It was taken near Ringebu. Thanks for the comments Stuart. This one was from Norway. But, you are very astute with your comments about Wisconsin and upper Midwest geneology. Much of Wisconsin was indeed settled by Germans, Pomeranians, Scandinavians and Poles. Sometimes, especially in January, I wish my ancestors would have had an affinity for the sun and picked Hawaii as a place to settle. flavio Posted September 6, 2007 Share #7 Posted September 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Kurt, I'm impressed too! I said 60/63° north lat and Google Map shows me Ringebu to be at 61.30! Next life I'll work as a predictor. I promise :-)
kuddel Posted September 6, 2007 Share #8 Posted September 6, 2007 Kurt, a wonderful landscape and impessing depth. Excellent colour and light, the people and the tail of the dog(?) makes the picture 'easy'. Regards, Andreas
PhotoArchival Posted September 7, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 7, 2007 I often wish I could be minutes away from places like this. Only I am surrounded by glass, steel, and concrete jungle. Guess the grass is always greener on the other side... Nicely done Kurt! Amado
