Inner part of Leica 109 zoom lens dislodged

I think I've been had. I bought this Leica 109 after being told it had a zoom issue that could easily be fixed, like a piece of grit or something. When I got the camera I discover the lens component inside is sitting at a funny angle. The camera shows a zoom error and sometimes an ois error when turned on. Would this be able to be fixed as it's inside the zoom lens itself? How would this have happened? Any advice appreciated.

Leica can probably fix it, but whether it is worth the cost? I guess the seller has disappeared.
I would attempt to take it apart myself. Nothing to lose.

It seems that the vendor was not an honest salesman. Have sought redress?

It is much better to buy this superb compact camera from a Leica dealer, even if you pay a slight premium. There would nearly always be a limited warranty.

Well, it is certainly a zoom issue!  Though I don't think I would describe it as easily fixed, so "incorrectly described" comes to mind if you are trying to get a refund.
