Present moment is only approaching 24mths after the launch of the SL2. The typical timeline for a new camera replace is like 4 years from Leica. I have now other things to try out, this distracts from the missing update. Glad that Sigma finally realized they should also care more for their own people, even though most other platforms bring more revenue. Maybe they bring more tele zooms for mirrorless ? (Like 120-300, 300-800, 60-600, or a 2/24-35). Regarding af, has anybody made a comparison with the fp L ? It has pdaf, but is hampered by the missing mechanical shutter. I hope I'm wrong but the camera heats up a lot on the right side of the base, the side opposite the grip. johntobias Posted September 22, 2021 Share #136 Posted September 22, 2021 Ok updated to 3.0 but as soon as I set the date, it went into updating my lens firmware (24-90). thought I had the latest lens firmware...anyone else done that?? now reports lens firmware 2.1. whereas the latest on the website is 2.0. cool !
