FW 3.0 updated faultlessly on two SL2 bodies. 24-90 / 90-280 - no FW update (both 2.1) APO 35/75 both updated automatically to 2.1 when attached to the camera and camera powered on. Video updates of no interest to me currently - however, I look forward to testing improvements in AF capability in different modes when I have time. Thank you Leica for pulling all of this together. Chapeau! 👍 same here - but only one body, lens updates on APO-SLs 35 & 90, SVE-SL 16-35 and (happy) Summilux-SL 50 great job, Leica! 👍

satijntje Posted September 23, 2021 Share #163 Posted September 23, 2021 FW updated on the SL2, but no new version for the 24-70 f2.8 Vario-Elmarit-SL lens
sillbeers15 Posted September 23, 2021 Share #164 Posted September 23, 2021 I did some test over AF Tracking after Firmware V3.0 installed into my SL2 w. SL90-280mm lens with settings: AFS / Tracking / Medium Drive / auto ISO / S mode 1/2500 sec. My impressions are that the focus tracking lock onto subject easily and the tracking success rate of 100% over six continuous shots when the subjects are sizeable (larger than focus tracking box) as shown on both the car and motorbike/scooter travelling at 80-90 km/h speed shown below. On further trial over smaller and tricky BIF, the ability to lock onto subject successfully takes a bit of struggle (as before in Firmware V2.0). However once focus lock successfully, the focus tracking over subsequent frames seem more robust. Welcome, dear visitor! When I upgraded the SL2-S to v2.0 firmware, the lens firmware did not need an update.
jrp Posted September 24, 2021 Share #170 Posted September 24, 2021 Interesting … my APO 28mm SL did update (to 2.1). I suspect that this sets some lens correction metadata into the raw file, but not much more. (Even diglloyd is impressed with the lens which doesn’t often happen.) beewee Posted September 24, 2021 Share #171 Posted September 24, 2021 Just to be clear, my 28 APO SL stayed on v1.0 with the SL2-S v2.0 FW and the 28 APO SL went to v2.1 with the SL2-S v2.1 FW. My 16-35 SL went to v2.0 with the SL2-S v2.1 FW.

Does anyone know the latest version of the adapter firmware? I've updated the camera firmware to version 3.0 but still see version 1 for the adapter. PS: On the Leica website, in the instructions for updating lens firmware on an SL camera, it says: SL-lens firmware updates are normally already included in the SL-camera firmware.
