I set the lens profile to the original f1.2. Adding the correct lens profile should be easy in a minor update, so I'm sure Leica is preparing something major.

Strange, because I'm sure that firmware dates from before the Noctilux was released. I assume the lens is recognised on other M10 models, but can't check because the Mono is my only M camera.

Probably the Noctilux re-release was already at an advanced stage, and the 6bit coding was included in the camera firmware in advance.

The January 2021 FW went out for the M10 as well. I will check it today and report back. I’m sure it will be recognized on it. I will also check my SL Typ 601. Simone_DF Posted August 16, 2021 Share #67 Posted August 16, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the end it's just a couple of lines of code to apply the correct amount of corrections and write data in the exif.

Of course they are applied. You can test this yourself, open a DNG with a software that lets you turn off in-camera corrections and you'll see the pure raw data. The Summilux in the Q line is probably the worst offender.

Photoworks Posted September 10, 2021 Share #73 Posted September 10, 2021 it is almost end of summer, and they just forgot about the SL2 update. It is almost 2 yeas since the camera came out and power issues when not addressed in the last update. I think bug fixes need to come more often than every other year. 6
All 9000 Posted September 11, 2021 Share #74 Posted September 11, 2021 I don't understand why Leica can't answer a simple question: "Is the release of a new firmware for the SL2 planned in the short term ?????" Yes or no ???

I’ve also reached out to them on Twitter and Instagram, without as much as an acknowledgment that they got my message. I guess they are too busy releasing lame special editions. I know it’s dramatic, but I’m on the verge of selling my SL-2 and looking elsewhere because of some of the major bugs that have been around since the camera was released and should have been fixed a long time ago. jmm1 Posted September 11, 2021 Share #77 Posted September 11, 2021 Any other SL2 owners here who feel insulted/neglected by Leica that this "supposed" firmware upgrade is now 2 months overdue! After paying a huge premium for the SL2 - they ignore us with a promise of firmware upgrades and concentrate on the SL2-s. Companies like Hasselblad, Canon and Sony pull out phenomenal firmware upgrades but Leica concentrates on stupid special editions like the latest 007 one. I have moved on to other systems. JM Welcome to the family. Ive gotten used to this mixed emotion since since day 1. I'm certain Leica's customers emotionally 'love & hate' Leica.
FrankA Posted September 11, 2021 Share #79 Posted September 11, 2021 Anxiously waiting, however the camera with M lenses is still producing stellar images. I was just looking at the last couple of pages of the SL2 sub forum. There is some great work there. Fixing the bugs is overdue though.

Frustrating indeed, I thought I heard or read that end of summer may be the updated target. If true, we are only 11 days away…. This reminds me of something I experienced when Zeiss made some AF lenses for the Fuji X series. Their original release had average AF performance, and they advertise a firmware update within a month or 2. That turned into 3, then 4 months, finally when a lot of people gave up, they released the firmware update without much fanfare. Note Zeiss stopped developing AF lenses for Fuji since
