How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Thanks, Dustin. I woke up early that morning and as soon as I looked out the window and saw that fog I grabbed my camera and ran. I love shooting b&w in fog. Actually, I just love being out in it.

During this ongoing coronavirus lockdown, I've only been able to explore places within walking distance. This spring, I am fortunate that the adjacent state park is looking lovely. It is especially gratifying that the area in this picture burned in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. From the bottom of the valleys to the tops of the ridges, all that remained was dirt, rocks and scorched tree trunks. Now that we are in the second spring since that catastrophic fire, I see evidence that we should all remain hopeful and that nature can also be healing.

Well thanks, but I’m an imposter. A friend was gracious enough to loan me his M10M and 35 f/1.4 FLE for a month. He’s definitely tempting me to the dark side. I am loving the experience although I’m a total rookie with B&W photography. I’m having fun!!

35mm Summicron ASPH at f/5.6

A fast moving spring storm coming in. This is about 3 hours before the rain/snow arrived. The waves weren't "flowing", but the whole mass of cloud was really moving fast, but changing slowly.

Do it, Dan—you won’t regret it.  A whole new dimension to your already fantastic skill-set!  Pair it up with the 50 APO and some classic B&W filters.
