In an M10 M picture thread, you’ve posted a pic using an M246, but your name is MM1.  Very confusing.

Jeff

Beautifully composed and processed. Great combo of lens, camera and eye.

@fotografr, thanks very kind.

Yes it is a perfect camera lens combo. In times of Corona, I have shifted to exploring my surroundings more and depicting what is familiar to me.

Greetings
Wolfram

just for fun I picked up a B&W 39mm yellow filter to try out. I stuck it on my M10 and desaturated the color file and processed in LR and Silver Efex Pro2. I think it turned out decent for a non-monochrome camera....will try it on my MM246 shortly to see how much it affect the contrast.Shot wide open at F2....

@Sjz  I like it.  It has a bit of a zen visual flavor.

I had an opportunity to play with the M10M yesterday at the Leica store in Soho, N.Y.C.  Ulas Dikkaya was kind enough to spend some time with me and show me the camera.  I haven't been swayed to make a purchase just yet, I'm still very much attached to my M9 version Monochrom, but the more I look at this photograph shot by me outside of the Leica Store, using my 50 LUX ASPH, the more I like the feeling I'm getting from it.  I may have to go back and play with it some more, or perhaps try to rent one for the weekend.

M10M and CV 75 f2.5. Not the greatest lens, but had it for a while and pretty happy with these.

How to upload images:

Prepare the image as follows:
1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits
2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended)
3.   Sharpen properly for screen.
4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 1000 kB (2000 kB for sponsoring members).
5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog.
6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and select the image.

It is also possible to embed an image through linking, but the  embedded image must still fall within the forum size rules above. There is also the risk of a broken link when the image is moved or deleted on the other site. Not recommended.

When you find an image on the forum you see a preview. Click on it for good quality. When the plus symbol appears click on it for full size.

Somehow I can't locate the Forum posting or editing box referenced in #6. I'd like to share my images but can't figure out where I go once an image is ready for posting. Help!
Chi

I see the click to chose files -- that only shows when I post a reply is that “theefiting box”?

Wow the tones, clarity and perspective all work in harmony. But I feel the white sign for Canal Side is distracting and competes for attention. A tighter crop works but I like the silhouette of the trees. Maybe PS content-aware or LR spot removal could perform cosmetic surgery. Best, Chips

I went through your same decision process. The M9 is a fine camera but the M10 Monochrome just takes me to a new level. I love this M10 mono! The files are incredible. It is so expensive but I finally surrendered and have never looked back. Good luck, Chips

Thanks, I appreciate the comment. :)  When I first processed the file in LR I did actually crop to 8x10 so as to eliminate that side of the photo but found the loss of the trees and tighter crop not to my liking, so reverted to the full image.  Clone out the sign?  No doubt it could be done by someone with the requisite PS skills, but on reflection I viewed it as part of what makes the photo about yet another housing development on what was open countryside, so I prefer to leave the sign in situ.

Thanks again.
