Alcatraz on an exceptionally windy day, in fact, in fifty years in this city I have not previously seen this.  The boats that ferry people out to the island to tour the old prison were all canceled today.  50mm APO-Summicron.

A brief window of opportunity this afternoon weather-wise.  Time to pop out for a local stroll to put the new toys through its paces. 50mm Summilux-M ASPH with medium yellow filter.

Something to reflect on...   ;)

Took a few M10M shots early this morning with the Noctilux 1.0 v1, Yellow #8 filter at ISO 50,000.  This is a big step up from the M246.  Out of about 30 images, I had none with banding in Lightroom, all at ISO 50,000. I'll post a few others.

46mm Heliopan orange filter arrived this morning and conveniently there were white clouds and blue sky available for a quick test, which merely involved stepping out of the back door.  (50mm Summilux-M ASPH).

I had a very enjoyable time at Leica Mayfair this morning trying out the M10M. Wonderful camera - I was lost as soon as I pressed the shutter button;  now I just have to decide which arm and which leg I have to give up.....
