How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Thunderstorm at sunrise in this case.

Taken this AM. Got soaked within minutes of taking this shot. Thank goodness for SL2 weather sealing. I wasn't quite so fortunate...

Just for fun, as a New Year's greeting to you, the forum.
I think today's kids call it "light painting"...the backside of the garden was illuminated with a small RGB LED light (green seemed a good idea to me after three glasses of wine, next time I might try red 😉), which I always have in my photo bag.
Then I jumped through my parents-in-law’s garden hare-brainedly and all by myself - swinging around the magnetic flashlight, which otherwise is constantly (and unloved) attached to the side of their fridge ... it took a while before the light arrangement was quite right - it’s hard to remember where the last number was stopped in the air - a real challenge for my muscle memory (especially with three glasses of wine). The merry ghost that can be guessed here and there was me ...
