The Lighthouse, Red Cliffs photo and this one below, were all taken at a place called Nash Point, Glamorganshire, South Wales.

Appologies for my mistake in posting these on the SL2 site - it wasnt intentional, I've just bought an SL2 this week and will post future photos to this site.

These were taken late last year when I had the SL1, and when we could go places like this to photograph. Whilst 2021 may not return us to 2019's normality, here's hoping it will get us closer to it. I have certainly learned to appreciate the good things we sometime took for granted, much better going forward.

To my point of view:  as a LUF MOD: I don´t see a reason by deleting this photo in this thread as you mentioned the background

Would agree that this photo lacks the image "coming alive" as you would expect from 35mm APO.

Are you sure that it wasn't just due to lighting conditions when image was taken and that almost any lens/sensor combination would have delivered similar results?

Also as further thought, have you tried David Farkas (Red Dot Forum) import preset for SL2?

https://www.reddotforum.com/content/2020/04/lightroom-presets-for-leica-cameras/

Don't know if it will deliver the results you're looking for but may be worth a try. Have found it to be a useful "starting point" for Lightroom editing. In same article David provides recommended presets for other Leica cameras as well.

Editing and final output is clearly in the eye of the beholder, but if nothing else have found the preset can save some time (particularly with "culling" process). Any time saved in post is always welcome particularly when one is working with SL2's monster files.

Please shoot the same object with your M10 and your Sl2 the same time and same light with same aperture.
So we compare apples and pears…
