It is an early starling. Not yet here in northern Germany.

the starlings came back four weeks earlier this year.  They are currently busy building their nests, unfortunately the snow came back, although it looks nice

I was looking forward to observing a pair of Jerusalem Sunbirds (middle eastern equivalent to a hummingbird) build their nest close to a window and raise a brood, but as the nest was completed we had four days of wind and rain, with a day of snow in the middle.  The birds seem to have survived, but the nest did not.

Not my best photo, high in a lonely three, it was impossible to find a window without twigs for the owl, it is still special to encounter such a beautiful animal. SL2, VE 90-280mm (heavily cropped, thank you SL2 😉)

SL2 Canon 135 f/2

Not a part of the country I know but its so beautiful.

Thank you for sharing .

On a technical note it certainly looks a worthwhile exercise to explore the possibility of Canon lenses for my SL2S.

Thanks Michael, Shropshire is a really beautiful county.

With so many Panasonic and Sigma offerings now in L mount, adapting Canon lenses only really makes sense if you have them and of course some of the longer lenses (big whites) which have no L mount alternatives (yet).   The 135 f/2 for example is only good for manual focus with the MC-21, autofocus hunts badly, others can be better, but AFS only of course no AFC.

Thank you .

It`s the longer F/L`s I was considering and as you say the longer faster focal lengths are absent from the L mount alliance .

I may just look to my Sony system which is more established in that regard .
