Nothing would surprise me regarding the S system, positive or otherwise, at least from a consumer standpoint. Presumably the outcome will be prudent financially and competitively for Leica. The line of thinking back then was that the original R&D costs had already - in part - been covered and therefore the price for the later models could be lower. But it was subsequently raised twice, ending last year at the current $19,995. So, regardless the S3 announced price (assuming it’s coming), be prepared for potentially significant change(s) thereafter, up or down. In other words, don’t bother projecting.
