Hi there. Good article on the M7 as I have one of the UK flag versions. Any knowledge of how many were made of these?

Regards Robin.

I don't know about how many UK flag versions are produced, but i have an Netherlands flag version and Leica made 10 of them, but The Netherlands is a small country. And they were send to dealer as a test camera (as far as i know).

The silver chrome version with M6 shutter speed dial and brown ostrich skin is HOT as F. Is this custom/a la carte, or was it an issued model?

This was a regular silver chrome M7 but is asked Leica to change it this way.

And another one:

In 2002, to Commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Establishment of Ernst Leitz Canada LTD (ELC) in Midland Ontario, Leica issued 50 Black M7s with a Red Maple-Leaf and the number 50 painted on the top cover.

Leica M7 special edition “China’s 1911 Revolution”

100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution. It was the revolution that overthrew the Qing dynasty (China’s last imperial dynasty) and paved the way for the Republic of China. The M7 was first launched in October 2011, wrapped in green leather and had only 101 units made.

Anyone ever seen a picture from the M7 special edition to celebrate 50th Anniversary China Photographers Association?

Silver chrome body engraved CPA 1956-2006 (50 units)

I can't find it anywhere on the internet.
