I have discovered the secret to making all the new posts appear in my new 'New Posts' stream: select 'Follow Everything'. I had ticked all the items under the 'Follow' filter tab. I don't know if that's a bug in the system, or just my misunderstanding.

Anyway: now very happy - everything easy to manage and looking good.

Thanks, Andreas!

My deepest appreciation to Andreas. I was a network admin since 1989, then as capabilities increased I supported a mere 16,000 stations and then-new 'web' evolved migration tools have improved, but none have alleviated the stress or shortened the time or attention necessary to make it so.

We all owe Andreas. Catch up on your sleep, our friend.

Minor feature wish:

On reading a popup notification (indicating a „reaction“ to one of ones posts) in the mobile version, it would be very convenient, if this „acknowledgment“ would automatically be transfered to the notifications dropdown menu (where currently it will still be shown as a „new“ notification, although already acknowledged).

Kind regards

Mathias

I also really appreciate the new system. However, one thing I'd change: when you click the "Mark forum as read" I'd rather not have to click again to confirm. Unlike when deleting files it isn't a big deal if you  mark them accidentally.

Thanks for all your work, Andreas.

I'm getting notifications for activity in threads and sub-forums that I've not marked to follow, ever read, posted to, or had my likes.  Seems random.  I'm assuming it's because we are in the transition mode.  I went to a few threads and confirmed that I did not mark them follow.  Otherwise all notifications seem appropriate.

Great job Andreas. 👏 Best feeling since i joined in September 2002 (not 2004) as you did yourself if memory serves.🤓
My only gripes would be default spacing after wrapping, Emoji window taking a long time to pop up and round shaped avatars thus far.

What I don't like--and maybe this will get fixed--is the old gallery in which you gleaned photos that were recently posted or exceptionally well liked. That way, we got a chance to see the best photos that folks on other threads (or on the other "side" of the forum) were posting. I don't know if that will get reinstalled here, but, if not, I'll really miss it. I was really inspired by the best of us.

Thanks again.

Will come again - today if I find enough time (and you don't find too many other urgent issues) or over the next days.

Is it possible to get the rebirth of the 'grand gallery' with new and best like photos on the mobile version?

A minor issue: I am not able to delete the emojis and the @-names from the quotes - as seen above. Any delte 'tricks' here?

Hello Andreas,

Very nicely done. You should be pleased with yourself.

I would like to add a suggestion that I think might make a very nice format even more clearly understood. IF: It is possible to do this with the system that you have to work with:

In the upper left corner of each corner: The time that a Post is Posted is displayed: The  new systems seems to be more complex & more difficult to understand than its predecessor was. Unlike the rest of the changes that the new system has introduced to the Forum overall which seem to be either equal to what was there before or an improvement.

Descriptions like "Posted last Thursday at 04:43 PM" are not as Universally Understandable as "Posted 16:43, 11 October 2018".

Altho "Posted 16:43 Today" or "Posted 16:43 Yesterday"  are OK.

Best Regards,

Michael

Andreas -

Don't know whether this feedback has been given, but now that the email notifications contain the photos that are included in posts with respect to which the notification is made, the notifications take SIGNIFICANTLY  longer to load in my smart phone and even 2018 iMac Pro.  This is not ideal as it gums up my email loading and takes up data (which I understand from the moderators is a point of acute sensitivity) and it would be helpful if there could be a way to deactivate the inclusion of photos in email notifications.

Best,

Adam,

Mahalo (Thank You) Andreas,

Everything looks great!

Is there a FAQ page on how to use the new features? For example, I had been resizing my photos for posting to 1200x800 pixels but after posting two (each on separate entries/posts) I get a 500 kb warning when trying to make a third post. I'm sure if I stumble about I'll find a way but it sure would be easier if there was a how to page.
