MikeMyers Posted September 26, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Apple made a nice change to their iPhone software. In addition to many other things, the iPhone can now deal with DNG images. So..... Take photo with M8. Remove memory card Insert memory card into Apple's "SD card to Lightning connector" ($30, yesterday, at Apple Store) Plug adapter into "lightning port" at bottom of phone. If you have updated your phone to the new iOS 12, the photos from the M8 will appear, and you can select a photo(s) for import. Pretty cool - no more need to get back to your computer and process the photos. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VidSEoRKZnI

prk60091 Posted September 26, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 26, 2018 My iPhone and iPad have been able to deal with DNG files for years. It is possible that your camera profile was added recently
Raid Amin Posted September 30, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 30, 2018 I have an iPhone 8 plus, and I have never tried uploading a DNG image to it.
kknox55@gmail.com Posted December 10, 2018 Share #4 Posted December 10, 2018 I also have an iphone 8+. I have been doing the same thing for over a year uploading all my raw files to my iphone and editing them. Much faster processing time for editing on the go while traveling.
