Leica M Film Photos -- Feel Free to Share Yours

When I visited L Camera Forum, I saw M* Film Threads in their respected M section, (M8, M240,M10,M9) same for SL, S etc, and I looked for one in the Film M section (i.e. this one) and never found one. It's not intuitive to look for a M film Image thread in the Other section, if you know about that then you know about the film thread. My 2 cents it should be in the Leica M System Leica M-A/M7/MP and Film M where the idea was posted. I understand those in the know go to Other for film images, but anyone new to film, I came from a digital M, is looking for the Film thread in the respective section. Well at least I was. Thanks for thinking about this though.

I asked Andreas to move the thread to the M-A/M7/MP and Film M sub-forum.

I hope it helps newbies find M photos. Not exactly sure how it will work/overlap with the Other film strip. This placement makes more sense to me. I also notice it says that only pictures taken with Leica cameras allowed below the Other section, yet the Other film area shows all sorts. A good split would be Leica M film here and other makes/Medium film in Other. People can then see what a Film M is capable off and then look at the other site to see SLR/TLR film images. Lets see how it goes. Thanks for taking the time to contact Andreas.

I purchased NOS Bessa R2M as backup for M4-2. I took several rolls by Bessa to be sure it works. Well, it has RF and even TTL meter, but then I took M4-2 back with me on the streets.

It is like well balanced, well used kitchen knife, nothing fancy and it just cuts.

Just for fun, M4-2 with f156 pinhole cap (USA made) on 2018 pinhole day, 8x10 FB DR print:

M2, Summicron-C 40/2, Kentmere 400, EI800, Dev'd in Microphen Stock, 9min 50sec 22 C

Scanned in Plustek 8200i

Just a humble suggestion:

Shall we try to include exposure index value and as much info about development parameters and about scanning tools as possible, so that this thread over time will also function as a place where reference samples of film, dev and scanning methods may be found?

Here are two shot with the M3 and the DR-Summicron-50 lens on Portra 800, a film I like and that can give the type of rough look I sometimes want. I'll post some more Portra 800 images if there is interest.

Grab shot taken on a hike while crossing one bridge when it started to rain. Looked towards the next bridge and saw this as the shell was coming into position. M5, Nokton 50 1.5 ltm. Cropped to about a 90mm FOV. Ektar, commercial process and scan.
