Walking the nearby Sonoran Desert near Tucson.  Leica MP with Kodak TriX 400.   I believe I had a Leica 50mm f2 lens on... Spoiled with digital, the film didn't record the lens and settings!  :)

Here's a couple from my first time at developing my own film. 12 shots worked out well, but I had a problem with the rest: a light band sweeps across them all, which is most annoying.

What do you mean with light band? The brighter area in the middle? Could be that the film is not well fixed. If the film does not look totally transparent, but kind of milky and yellowish there the fixation was to short or the fixer isn't good any more. If that's the case you can repeat the fixation. Wash and dry as usual afterwards. The sooner you do this the better. During the fixation the tank should be moved frequently as during the development.

I can't remember who, think it was Ansel Adams, when asked what lens and what settings he used for an image, his answer was " I used the proper lens and settings for this picture."
