m2, summicron 50 rigid, delta 3200 (dd-x by Malvarrosa), printed on mgfb and scanned

Aryel, that looks really good. I've never used 3200 film, but yours makes me want to give it a try. Pretty dim light here in Chicago winters.

Thanks a lot! I love delta 3200. It was very dark during my last trip to France and I ended up shooting lot of it, even more than I usually do.

Kodachrome colors are just something else man…

Thanks,

nothing will be as nice * as these colors again.

They age well also, still same color hues since many decades.

* sometimes, a bit too much but high in 'nice pleasing renderings'

Plustek gives great scan results.. they came up with 8300i recently with better dmax and faster scan

wish somebody makes a modern pakon like, except the prime XA which was unreliable

Oh, thanks! That was easy!

DNG is better, right ? 48 or 64 bit raw ?

64 is overkill for 35mm, i use 48, i use dng for b&w film, and exotic films that don't have profiles in silverfast., like cinestill/fuji industrial/lomography etc etc

and you may notice a huge difference in scanning speed ;)

once in LR you can simply invert the curve, and tuck the sides in left and right based on the histogram IN the Curve tool, that essentially shows you a flat scan of whats actually on the film, after that adjust the black and white levels, contrast and saturation to your liking and its done

its good to save a develop preset if you have multiple shots with the same/similar lighting conditions

So you are scanning as if it was color film to create a DNG and then flipping the curve so you get a b & w image?
