One has to admit that Adobe are on the ball. Support for the CL is added to Adobe Camera RAW and both Lightroom CC and Classic as of yesterday's update. Sadly I suspect us Capture One users will have to wait months if not years for CL support. They have not even got round to adding support for TL2 which has been available for around a year. Having been disappointed with and not bought the latest C1 V.11 version, after being a C1 user for 14 years, I am now considering other RAW developers or just using batch processing with ACR with Bridge as my image library system, then PS CC 2018 for any post production, as I am a CC subscriber.

I’ve installed the LR 6.13 update and it doesn’t have a profile for CL :-(

Not so sure what Wilson has seen.

The update with CL support is only in Lightroom Classic CC 7.1, Camera Raw 10.1, and Lightroom CC 1.1.

I thought I had already posted this but I guess not:  The CL camera profile will be included in the standalone LR version to be released on December 19th.  This per the Lightroom Queen, Victoria Brampton.

Just ran some preliminary conversions with the Adobe profile.  Generally, I like it a LOT more than the embedded profile.  Much over what I considered the over saturation of the Leica DNG embedded profile is now gone, and I can go back to processing raw files instead of JPG's.

As promised, the standalone Lightroom update has been released today (6.14) with a CL profile. The CL profile looks better (to my eyes) than the Lightroom interpretation of the embedded profile - it's more sensible from a saturation and red colour perspective. I like it - I've set it to the default.

Ive updated to 6.14/10.1...but don't see "Leica CL" listed in Camera Calibration/Profile. I only have Embedded and Adobe Standard.

I agree that does seem odd. I am using LR Classic CC 7.1 and see the same as you. I checked on the Metadata and Leica CL is definitely showing up on that.

If memory serves me correct:

If there is no available Adobe profile you only see 'Embedded' and it defaults to that.

When a camera profile is available it defaults to 'Adobe Standard' ..... which is the Adobe profile for the camera, although 'Embedded' remains an option.

For some reason the 'Embedded' for the M10 is labelled as LEICA M10.

If you create your own custom profiles for the camera they appear in the drop down list as well .... labelled as whatever you called them.

....... from a quick scan through my shots Adobe has reduced the saturation in greens and oranges ...... but not a lot else ....

Anyone happen to read Sean Reid's review posted today comparing CL color to X-Pro 2? He is showing available CL color profiles as:

Adobe Color

Adobe Flat

Adobe Landscape

Adobe Portrait

Adobe Standard

Adobe Vivid

I'm completely updated LR 7.1 & Camera Raw 10.1 and I'm only seeing options for "Embedded" and "Adobe Standard"

Anyone have these other options available to them in LR?

I have looked through all the RAW data and there is nothing that looks like that either. I wonder if Sean could be using a later Beta version of Lightroom.

The only mention of profiles in the RAW data is as follows:

 <crs:CameraProfile>Adobe Standard</crs:CameraProfile>

I can fully endorse that, Wilson. For me Bridge CC with PS CC is still the combo I always come back to. With Lightroom CC for quick and dirty. The origiginal advantages of better detail and colour from C1 have evaporated over the years, I find.

On my Macbook Air I tend to use either LR6 or Luminar as it chokes on full PS. I deleted C1 on both my laptops as I never used it anymore, and it only lives on my MacPro for nostalgia reasons.

Sean is running his files through DNG Cleaner program in order to prevent SDC. His modified DNG files may cause different results.

I thought DNG Cleaner was for cleaning up RAW video files of the coloured dot artefacts you can get with drones and GoPro cameras. Why would you use it for still images from Leica cameras?
