Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;)

How very true, otherwise how are we married to our spouse?  My wife also said the same thing about marrying me too.  Apologies if I offended any married person.

I kind of liked the CL shown in this press photo, much less clinical than the earlier photos.

If I buy, it will be black.

Lets wait for the spec and we will know if it s a worthwhile pursuit.

Less than 24 hours to wait.......

I think it looks FANTASTIC!  Want!  Well if the AF is nice a zippy :)

+1. I would prefer a little hand grip on the right side, though. Not of the size and depth of the SL grip, but something to ease right-hand holding. That being said, I guess grips will be available, and certainly as part of a case.

IMHO the camera looks much better in black than in silver.  However the specs and performance are what would drive my interest in the camera.

In black it looks better, no doubt.

This camera is no going to win a beauty contest, but the specifications are the key.

A typical top cover would have made this camera "boring". That strange design choice (humps and bumps on the top cover) makes the camera more interesting.

In French: jolie laide.

This is a Leica JL.

This is a T with EVF, so the EVF is the most important feature in this product.

It is still too early to know what the CL can/will deliver, but the CL, TL(2) and SL trio forms a strong system. With the long-awaited 35, 75 and 90mm SL primes and the 16-35mm SL zoom around the corner, and with a higer-res SL2 in 1-2 years from now (one would think), the L-system looks healthy and vital, forming a high-tech counterpart to the M-system. Good.

From a personal perspective, I would love to see converters and/or longer lenses for the L-system, rather sooner than later...

And those into larger formats would like to see an upgrade of the S-system. Possibly in 2018?

Amazing how all the negativity about the early-release pictures has turned into something of a love-fest with the pictures released just now!  In black it certainly has something of a handsome, form-follows-function appearance.
