Interesting. Is it because of trump? Seems odd North America is being signaled out, especially since it's a strong market for luxury products.

I'd believe targeting of favorable exchange rates before it being due to the Trump Show.

I did not take his comment about volume coming to NA as anything more than it is a big world with lots of markets.

On leica's website they list New Jersey as the place to send for repairs.

its not a "repair shop" its the Leica USA Headquarters. They handle repairs here, but its a bit more than a "repair shop".

All Leica cameras and lenses are sent to the dealers from here.

Hi,

First post on this forum.

I ordered mine (M10 black) 3 weeks ago and I got it last Friday.

I live in Belgium and it seems we are lucky with delevery times for M10.

Welcome to the forum.

From what dealer did you order, if I may ask? Your observations about Belgium might be correct. Ordered mine Jan 20th and was delivered Jan 30th. That is only 10 days where it took me 10 months to obtain an M240. Good luck with the M10 !

Today I received an e-mail from the Leica store in Miami, saying that M10 deliveries remain slow but are happening.  Importantly, the e-mail says that customer who had put their names on the wait list prior to the announced price increase will not be charged the $ increase.

That said, I feel very fortunate that the Leica store in Washington DC sold me my M10 after only 5 weeks after I got on their wait list.  If I was still waiting for an M10, by now I'm sure I would have sold off all of my Leica M lenses and moved over to another camera brand.

It would have been far less trouble to aggressively call small dealers with little or no wait list. I found 2 in a matter of a couple of days.

Hi:

This is my first post on this forum. I just got a call from the Las Vegas Leica store here in the US and my M10 Silver was sent out today! I ordered the silver version 5 weeks ago from Leica Store Las Vegas. I was #5 on the list last week and jumped all the way up to #1 this week. The guys at the Las Vegas store were extremely helpful and nice. Excellent customer service! They also honored the price before the recent price increase. You may want to give these guys a call.

Hi,

I ordered mine at Photogalerie (Liège but they are also in BXL). When I said I was impressed by the short delivery times, they replied that they had a very good contact with Leica.

Talked to Tamarkin yesterday. I have been on their list for a silver M10 since about the first week of February. At the time, I was told to expect a 4-6 month wait. So now, 3 months later, I call to get an update on how much longer, and I was told to expect 9 months! What? Guess it's time to start calling around to smaller dealers. If I was Tamarkin, I would be furious with Leica. No telling how many sales they will lose due to the nature of the M10 rollout.

I can relate. I was told it would be coming soon in February by BH Photo and its now May. I imagine a lot of people are canceling there M10 orders as a result of the wait. It could be years before they start showing up at big stores. Probably by the M11 they'll finally get a small shipment in.
