Leica Girl Posted May 18, 2019 Share #1564 Posted May 18, 2019 Lady's Mantle is such a fascinating plant. From the new birth of the accordion shaped leaves to the "saw-blade" edges when fully opened. The raindrops add a nice touch to the leaves. The image was taken with the Q, 1/125 sec at f/16. (ISO 800) Handheld. Welcome, dear visitor! Leica Guy Posted May 20, 2019 Share #1569 Posted May 20, 2019 (edited) Leica Q2, Macro, Canon MR-14 EX II Ring Flash, 1/125, ISO 100, f/16, on tripod. Our Christmas Cactus is blooming in May. Go figure. It's confused. The resolution and sharpness of the Q2 is stunning. You can see from the listing below what a narrow DOF results from being so close to the subject 1 3/16” Welcome, dear visitor! Leica Girl Posted May 22, 2019 Share #1572 Posted May 22, 2019 Any flower or flowering shrub/tree struggle with our spring season. Just as the flowering Crabapple began to open its blossoms, we received a substantial amount of snow. I like the contrast of the seasons as presented in this image. Leica Girl Posted May 22, 2019 Share #1573 Posted May 22, 2019 The Snow Crabapple got an overnight coating of snow. By noon most of the snow had melted in preparation for more snow overnight. bags27 Posted May 24, 2019 Share #1576 Posted May 24, 2019 Wow! what are they Dimitrios? I'm wondering whether the 28 mm lens--not usually good at macro because, among other things, it requires such a close-up that the photographer's shadow can come into play--isn't, however, especially good for the photography you're exploring. Hello Ken, Apologies, I edited the post and added description! The challenge with the wide lens is that you need a specially designed extension lens in order to compensate for the huge amount of vignetting.. Most people just like to go with the flow, but I just enjoy the challenge.. I am currently still having a lot of vignette and those photos where cropped at 50mm.. I am now exploring whether the use of a concave mirror can be the best solution for that.. Also about to modify my 3D printer to turn it into an automated focus stacking machine..

Leica Girl Posted May 27, 2019 Share #1580 Posted May 27, 2019 I want to introduce my Beta to the Leica Forum. I'm sure you will be seeing more of him in months to come. This was taken with the Leica Q, 1/250 sec, f/11, ISO 200 in Macro Mode. To take this image I needed to use an overhead flash. I discovered the Godox TT350 and Godox Transmitter X1T worked perfectly with the Leica Q. Welcome, dear visitor!
