Viewfinder for the 10mm?

Well, today I mounted version 1 of the 12mm VC finder on my M9. I found that the 12mm V1 finder did not show as much to the left that the 10mm lens covered. Close enough. The finder appears to look a bit to the left but covers properly in the right of the frame, and tomorrow I will be adjusting the shoe to move it a bit right.

The short: I believe the version 1 12mm finder is good to go for 10mm users.

Will report back.

Viewfinder for the 10mm?

Will report back.

Reporting back. It was not a good idea to try removing and turning the flash shoe mount of the version 1 12mm finder. It does appear to be the solution to its being offset from the lens, however the screws do not want to be moved laterally, and I have no miniature drill press to relocate them. The offset view is minor and easily noodled out (pre-visualized).

Miniature drill press - aha! Another thing to buy!

Regarding viewfinder for 10 mm, there might be a quite easy even not fully accurate way to accomplish it. I successfully do this for my CV 12/5.6 lens with the newer version of the Voigtlander 21/25 mm viewfinder (the one which you see on my camera of my profile picture). The 12 mm frame actually is pretty accurately provided with this viewfinder when looking outside the 21 mm frame lines towards the borders of the provided full frame within this viewfinder. I composed many 12 mm photos with this method very accurately and didn't need to vest into another (expensive) ultra-wide viewfinder. I found this trick mentioned in an older post of another online photo forum.

10 mm of course is wider, but I would try to estimate it from outside the borders of my 21/25 mm CV viewfinder. The composition won't be as accurate as with the 12 mm lens though.

Monreale Cathedral, near Palermo

This, and the Cappella Palatina in Palermo itself are two of the most amazing and beautiful church interiors I have ever seen. Astonishing and humbling to see what they got up to in the C12th.

Perar 21/4.5 at f/5.6 on a Fuji X-Pro 2. Excuses for post in this forum: the lens is M-mount, and the camera although not a rangefinder at least has an optical viewfinder that is not through the lens.

I found a used SEM 21mm at a reasonable price today. Excellent condition, but shabby box & papers and no lens cap - the latter was easily sorted.

This is my first venture into the UWA realm: so, some standard locations and shots.
