During a recent trip, I took only the VE24-90 with me. Yes the lens is big, heavy etc. But sooooo versatile.. And excellent image quality. Enjoy

+1. If one lens is all you can take, or a preference for any reason (convenience, dust, water, seaspray, snow, etc.), the 24-90SL is the lens to use. Excellent performer, and really not that big/heavy given the great focal length coverage. Bringing an M, I would possibly go with 21SEM, 50APO and 90 Macro-Elmarit. All lovely, small and relatively light-weight lenses, but nevertheless 3 lenses that adds up weight and space and requires lens swopping more often than not...

An undergraduate engineering project.  They instrumented a wheelchair with inexpensive sensors so that it will slam on the brakes before running down hill or over the stairs.  For a local hospital that serves severely disabled children.

It turns out that seeing descending stairs is hard!

In the last-lap-mad-thrash, yer man pictured almost made the turn at the bottom of the chute (previous photo) and skidded a fair bit down the pavement. No bones were broken, however. 90SL at f/2
