Gerhardt Isringhaus Posted August 6, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Lumix fz18 bridgle camera and all of a sudden I have this spot showing up on the bottom center of some photos. It must be dust on the sensor. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of it? Welcome, dear visitor! Gerhardt Isringhaus Posted August 6, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted August 6, 2013 Simple to retouch in LR. Thanks. I guess the retouch is the way to go. Not worth having it serviced for dust. I thought these sealed lens cameras didn't get dust on the sensor.
ho_co Posted August 10, 2013 Share #5 Posted August 10, 2013 You're right, Gerhardt, they're not supposed to. But when they do, there's no way to get the dust out without a full tear-down.

farnz Posted August 25, 2013 Share #8 Posted August 25, 2013 That's a very large dust spot and it appears to be very detailed and in the shape of a palm tree! Pete.
Gerhardt Isringhaus Posted August 25, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted August 25, 2013 That's a very large dust spot and it appears to be very detailed and in the shape of a palm tree! Pete. The sensors are very small on these bridge cameras. Somehow a sand flea lodged himself there.
Gerhardt Isringhaus Posted March 14, 2014 Author Share #10 Posted March 14, 2014 I'll just retouch or clone it out. It only shows sometimes. Thanks, Howard I took a can of aerosol dust blaster with a small nozzle and sprayed it all around where the lens protrudes out of the body and the dust spot is gone good enough without a tear down.
