Arcos de la Frontera, Spain

MP, Voigtlander 35/1.7 Ultron, TriX

Wonderful! Every element plays a part in the composition, which just leaves you thinking of the story it could tell!

Was this posed, or did you just happen to see it? Either way congratulations either on your eye and quick reaction or on your creativity in assembling the scene like a painter!

Arcos de la Frontera is a hill town built on top of an inland cliff area and offers many views similar to what we see here. I tend to want to include people in my images but there weren’t many people out and about in the middle of a hot afternoon. I was going to settle for a shot of the view when I saw the young girl ambling her way up the hill (the silhouette appears to be male but my recollection is that it was a girl). It was just a matter of framing and waiting til she got to where the shot made sense…

What a brilliant statement of the transitory borders of Rent-a-Fence chain link in an optical play of light that pulls on the notion of perspective. Bravo.

Thanks so much, Rog. You make it sound like I actually knew what I was doing!

Hansvons , there is beautiful park in Kensington , nice pictures

Thanks for your kind words, and thank you for the thread. It's my favourite thread on these forums. And that's not because we see film-only images here. The originality of the photos (both in failure and success) is very inspiring. You can hardly have that in digital.

Another shot of that series:

And lastly, a shot in the tube shows how well ISO 800 works with HP5—35 mm Summicron ASPH @ f2. The lights' flares are part of your package when shooting HP5.
