Another of your wonderful winter scenes, Henry!

I particularly like the subtle hint of colour in the fence and the gate, which brings a richness to the picture that I think would be absent in a monochrome picture of the scene.

Canal reflections ...

Canon T90, Ilford XP2

A lovely serene picture, Bob.  I like the way that the grey tones disappear with distance which gives the picture depth.

I'm just about to try XP2 Super and I've been told that pictures can be rated from ISO 50 to 800 on the same roll without a problem.  Does this sound right to you?  (It sounds a bit too good to be true to me.  ^_^ )

Very nice and wintry Henry. Here in NL it's only cold but no snow.

Good one Andrew, nicely composed using that massive shadow as foreground.

With regard to XP2, I'm no expert but that's certainly what the Ilford Fact Sheet states.  I normally shoot it between 200 and 400 as I do with my remaining Kodak BW400CN, I have never tried either lower and rarely higher but must give it a try.  In my experience, grain increases with ISO and/or poor light as you would expect but is still very good at 800 and more than acceptable at 1600.  However, generally speaking like most C41 films I feel it benefits most and gives the best results from a little over exposure.  Irrespective of what ISO used ( I'll sometimes switch mid roll as some of my cameras don't allow for exposure compensation and It's often easier than trying to remember how to set this with some of the others) I always develop it in the same way, as I will often include it in the same tank with other films including colour.

If you haven't seen it there's also a very interesting topic by one of the forum members somewhere here regarding developing it in Rodinal with very good results.  Unfortunately I can't find the link because for some reason when I tried a search for XP2 it resulted in a message that it was an illegal search.

Hope that's helpful.

Fireworks anyone? From a very windy, and later rainy, night in August last year on the beach here in town, with the 80 Planar. I should add that I'm usually just holding the shutter open a few seconds to capture bursts. It's a lot of hit and miss.

First some Ektar:

I like these very much, Phillip, because they're quite 'out of the ordinary' for fireworks pictures particularly the heavily wind-blown first one and the smoky, pentangular raindrop reflections of the diaphragm.
